MRSEC Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU)
The Northwestern University Materials Research Science & Engineering Center offers a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program over a 9-week period each summer. REU students have the opportunity to contribute to a research project led by a center faculty member and participate in interdisciplinary research group meetings, expanding their science and engineering experience into a range of fields.
Open Quantum Initiative Undergraduate Fellowship
The Chicago Quantum Exchange (CQE) Open Quantum Initiative (OQI) Undergraduate Fellowship provides undergraduate students with research experiences working in quantum science laboratories and research groups.
SQMS Quantum Undergraduate Internship
Sponsored by the Department of Energy Office of Science, the SQMS Quantum Undergraduate Internship places undergraduate sophomore and junior physics and engineering majors in a paid 10-week summer internship program at the SQMS Center. Students gain hands-on experience through access to state-of-the-art facilities under the mentorship of SQMS experts across the Center’s 24 partner institutions.
